The Staff Selection Commission has asked students to apply for the examination of Constable GD. Any students who wish to participate in the SSC Constable GD exam can apply online by visiting the official SSC website. The application will be held between 27th October 2022 and 30th November 2022 and the application medium is both online and offline, but students are advised to apply online.

Relaxation in age limit According to the notification, there may be a relaxation in the age limit. Due to the Corona epidemic, the government has made provision of relaxation in the additional age limit of 3 years for all categories of students.

For SSC Constable GD, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 26 years as on 1 January 2030. It is possible for the special category to get relaxation in the age limit.

Details of vacancies in SSC GD Constable 2022

There are separate vacancies for BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP and AR posts in the SSC GD Constable Force department. Apart from this, there is a provision of some vacancies for NCB as well.
According to the official notification, a total of 8922 vacancies have been announced in BSF for male candidates of different categories, whereas 1575 vacancies have been announced for female candidates. A total of 10497 posts have been announced for BSF in SSC Constable 2022 Examination
A total of 100 posts have been announced for CISF.
In CRPF, 8380 posts are vacant for male candidates, whereas 531 posts are vacant for female candidates and a total of 8911 vacancies have been announced for CRPF.
In SSB, a total of 1371 vacancies have been declared for male candidates, whereas 246 vacancies have been announced for female candidates and the sum of both the vacancies in SSB is 1284.
For ITBP, a total of 1371 posts are vacant for male candidates of all categories, whereas 242 posts are vacant for female candidates and the total sum of vacant posts is 1613.
In SSC Constable Examination 2022, 1697 posts for male candidates and no posts are vacant for female candidates. Therefore, the total number of posts is 1697.
In SSS, a total of 78 posts are vacant for male and 25 posts are vacant for female and the total sum of both is 103.
Therefore, the total number of male candidates in Part 1 is 21579 and the number of vacancies for female candidates is 2626 and the total sum of these vacancies is 24205.
In part 2, this department also has 25 vacancies for SC candidates, 11 vacancies for SP candidates, 38 vacancies for OBC, 23 vacancies for EWS and 67 vacancies for general category or unreserved category and their total total is 164.

Relaxation in age limit

There is a provision of 5 years relaxation in the age limit for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, whereas for OBC category students, it is possible to get a relaxation of up to 3 years in the age limit. There is a provision of relaxation in the age limit of 3 years for ex-servicemen under various provisions. All the students who belong to the families of those killed in the 1984 and 2002 riots of Gujarat and belong to the unreserved category, there is a provision to relax their age limit of 5 years.

There is a provision to relax the age limit of 8 years for the dependents of the family who died in the Gujarat riots in 1984 and 2002, who belong to the OBC category.

NCC candidates exempt

Students who get ACC candidate certificates of A B and C category will get different types of discounts. NCC A Grade Certificate students can get up to 2% extra marks. Fees for Relaxation

There is no need to deposit any fees for female candidates and schedule cast and schedule tribe and ex-serviceman candidates.
Students of General and EWS category will have to collect fees and the online payment mode of fee collection is BHIM UPI Net Banking etc.

Examination will be held at SSC’s selected centres like previous years.

SSC Constable GD 2022 Exam Scheme and Negative Marking

In SSC GD 2022 Examination, 20 questions of General Intelligence and Reasoning will be asked and it will be of 40 marks. There will be 20 questions of General Knowledge and General Awareness and a total of 40 marks will be asked. There will be 20 math questions and a total of 40 marks will be math questions. There will be 20 English/Hindi questions and a total of 40 marks will be asked.
Students will be given 60 minutes for the written examination
The examination will be in accordance with multiple choice questions and there will be negative marking in the examination. Any student who makes a wrong question, 0.50 marks will be deducted as penalty. There is no provision for checking copies again or rechecking.

Physical Efficiency Test (TET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)

Depending on the performance of computer-based exams, students will have the opportunity to participate in PST. Staff Selection Commission will conduct PET and PST at different examination centers. In which students will get marks according to their physical standards, such as height, weight and chest, etc.

Provisions for pregnant women

Physical Standard Test PST

According to the physical standards, a male candidate must have a height of 170 cm and a female candidate must have a height of 157 cm.
